The railway station is one of the most representative places in the town. It is located by the main road from Jelenia Góra to Wałbrzych. At the same time, it is one of the worst showpieces of Kamienna Góra. It’s a shame that because of the gradual closedown of the railways the railway station area is devastated and the town has not enough ideas or determination to adapt the building.
Kamienna Góra is the end of the railway line no 308 from Jelenia Góra. The station has been opened in 1869. Nowadays (December 2013), after the closedown of Jelenia Góra, Lubawka and Wrocław connections, the railway station building is completely deprived of its original functions being used just as a stop on a seasonal weekend link from Jelenia Góra via Lubawka to Trutnov.
